Blinkit, formerly known as Grofers, is an Indian instant delivery service founded in December 2013. Headquartered in Gurgaon, the company enables customers to order groceries and essentials online through its mobile application.
Its CEO Dhindsa took to ‘X’ to share insights from Valentine’s Day purchases, and here are some unique stats you might want to know.
1. Personal Massager sales just skyrocketed
2. V-Day saw some wild moments, and the unexpected surge in demand for ‘handcuffs’ certainly attests to that
3. Condom sales surged fourfold compared to an average Wednesday.
4. It may not come as a surprise, but people were incredibly romantic on V-Day as well.
5. There was a surge in beauty products as well
6. It was a heavily gift-driven day
7. Someone went as far as offering to work as a delivery partner just for their girlfriend’s sake. Love truly knows no bounds.
