But, even in its raw form, ChatGPT has been useful in many ways people would never have imagined in the past. One such instance was shared by a Reddit user (Unfair_Bug4739) where ChatGPT was able to help him save £100 Parking Ticket.
No, it didn’t actually help the guy park his car or forewarn him about the wrong parking. It helped in a different way. If you weren’t able to guess it yet — it helped him write a mail to appeal to parking authorities to waive the parking fee.
And, it actually worked. He received this reply from the parking company:

ChatGPT even came up with an excuse
What was more fascinating was its ability to come up with an excuse, which in fact was a lie. The Reddit user wrote:
I thought the appeal it came up with was pretty interesting, it came up with the lie that I was involved in a personal emergency, and it was all with no prompts from me.
He did not give it a prompt to come up with an excuse for a personal emergency but it came up with one anyway. It is perhaps an indication that AI is moving toward how we would actually think.
