Many critics believed he is down and out, some said he’s too old to make an impact in Bollywood movies. Fans on the other side, always knew that Shah Rukh Khan who is often called the king of Bollywood — remains one of the most powerful icons of the Indian film industry. It was just a matter of time when either of them was to be proved right.
The fans won this time as Shah Rukh, who is undoubtedly beyond his prime still manages to become the highest-paid Indian actor of all times. At 100 Cr (1 Billion) indian rupee or (138 Billion $) which he is charging for his next venture Pathan, he has become the highest-paid actor in the country.
Bollywood remunerations are a little speculative and are not publicly revealed, however, if industry pundits are to be believed it is one of the highest amounts bagged by any Indian film celebrity for a Bollywood movie.
SRK as he is also called, recently started shooting for his next film Pathan that also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The movie will see Shah Rukh filming in Mumbai and several other overseas locations during the long film schedule.
The film offers high-end action sequences and more. Now since SRK charging such a humongous amount fans’ expectations have gone another level. Pathan is eyeing 2022 release which makes it possible that it sees a theatrical release after the pandemic, and a blockbuster opening is is somewhat guranteed.
On Twitter, a tweet made by Umair Sandhu reported that Shah Rukh Khan has become the highest-paid actor in the country after his remuneration fee for Pathan.

The actor has a cameo appearance in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra that stars Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. SRK was last seen in the movie Zero.
